The Clissold Family

James Clissold, a marine on the Ocean and friend of George Kearley, married Mary Carne in 1808. There are two children John and Sarah Clissold, but whose children are they? Their births seem to be 1807 and 1806 respectively but do not seem to be recorded in Hobart records (was their last week). Did they come with Mary Carne from Norfolk Island?
Sarah Clissold gives birth to a James Clissold in 1822 with no father named. She then marries William White in 1832.

Does anyone have any information on the Clissold family in Tasmania? Descendants move to Victoria.

Thanks. Any help greatly appreciated!!

The Story of James Clissold

Does the following volume shed any light on the family:

Story of James Clissold: a royal marine in Van Dieman's Land, 1804-1848 / by Vivienne Wallace (Trove).
